Adult Ministries
At the heart of becoming a Christian is a lifelong transformation—a renewal of our entire way of thinking, feeling, and acting. When the apostle Paul told the new Christians in Galatia that he longed to see “Christ formed in you,” he spoke of this process of spiritual growth, from infancy to maturity. At Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church, we believe that while no one ever reaches full maturity in this life, God provides us with the tools to continue growing.
Our Adult Ministries aim to foster Christ Centered Worship, provide Joy Filled Community, and equip participants for Love Compelled Service. Whether you’re exploring Christianity for the first time or seeking to deepen your faith, we have opportunities designed to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus.
What to Expect
All are welcome, whether you are exploring Christianity or have been a believer for years. We offer four main types of gatherings to foster spiritual growth and community:
- Newcomer Events: These help orient guests to WCPC’s beliefs and practices.
- Christian Formation Classes: We offer a variety of classes on spiritual and biblical topics.
- Community Groups: These groups meet in homes throughout the week for Bible study, worship, and fellowship.
- Women’s and Men’s Events: Specific gatherings to foster community among women and men.
Christian Formation
Our Christian Formation classes are designed to help you encounter Jesus in fresh and transformative ways. These multi-week gatherings focus on growing in faith through:
Foundations: Explore foundational topics and truths in our faith.
Intersections: Conversations about the ways life and faith intersect.
Pathways: An exploration of the ways faith grows and changes through different stages of life.

Women's Community Groups
Our women’s community groups meet regularly in smaller, more intimate settings. These gatherings are designed to blend Christ-Centered Worship, moments of fun and connection, and opportunities for Love-Compelled Service. By doing life together, we encourage one another and build friendships that last.
Men
The Men’s Ministry at WCPC exists to create space for men to build deep and authentic friendships while growing in their faith. Through regular events—such as breakfasts, BBQs, campouts, and golf outings—we foster Joy-Filled Community where men can connect with one another.
In addition to group activities, we encourage men to join small prayer groups of 3-5 that meet daily using online platforms. This creates ongoing spiritual support and accountability, as we grow together in Christ-Centered Worship and Love-Compelled Service.
