Topless Trees
The Solution (hover over the black below to see the solution)
Psalm 11:2 describes the process of bending a bow, putting an arrow against the string, and shooting. Concord realized that Cheryl Riley was able to do the same thing when she was in Mr. Brown’s tent. Using her good arm, she bent her green walking stick into a bow and used her shoelace as a bowstring. She then pulled out the sponge that she had smuggled into the tent. She stuck the sponge on the end of a stick and dipped it into some of the red paint that was still in the tent. Then she shot the sponge like an arrow. Though she couldn’t bend her right arm because it was in a cast, she could still use her right hand to pull back the arrow. After taking several shots at the tree trunk, she took the shoelace off the walking stick. Then she walked out of the tent as if nothing had happened.
